Valley of the Kings
The Valley of the Kings is one of the most striking and famous historical sites in Egypt. It was the royal cemetery for 64 pharaohs and its located in the western bank of Luxor. The kings of Thebes wished to make their eternal lasting and resting place safe and not to be stolen by tomb theives but unfortunately all tombs were stolen except king TutankhAmon tomb which was found intact by an English man called Haward carter 1922.
All tombs were cut or carved in a mountain decorated with scenes from the Holy books of the ancient pharaohs such as the book of the dead.
Most of the tombs are decorated with colorful scenes which shows the believe of the ancient Egyptian in life after death.
